I must say tm is a hard a game as we could have wished for for the opener. Now Stevenage have got rid of that egotistical nutter Westley ("the game was won and lost on the M6") and with a number of quality summer signings I make them definite for a top 3 finish. Stafford on Tuesday we must be positive, they are at our level and we do have a decent record agaisnt them in the recent past, Exeter away next Saturday you'd think would be a backs to the wall job.

Realistically I think I would settle for 4/9 in the first week. After that, St Albans, Gravesend and Daggers are all games we have nothing to fear from, a good start last season gave us breathing space, hopefully more of the same this year.

ATTACK ATTACK

August 11 2006, 7:56 PM

Can't be over confident that we could score at will, think we just have to try desperatly not to concede and then worry about scoring afterwards.

Not naming names but I am hoping for a much better showing than I have seen in friendlies from some of the attackers, granted I have only managed to get back for a few games so maybe unfair to judge but from what I have seen it would be nice if one or two would just SHOOT !
