Lets get this clear first.... I'm no long time Alty fan. I'm a Blue first and foremost and always will be.

In fact my first game was only Exeter at home almost 12 months ago. The attraction, again lets be honest here.... it was a money thing. Enjoy my football but Prem League prices are now just takin the piss. £40 to watch Horwich for feks sake !

So this gives me a slightly different view of things.... almost detached, but very much involved at the same time.

2 points from Saturday's performance that are inarguable.

1/ The quality of Little's finish. Think I'll be waiting a while before I see a goal at Eastlands finished with quite that grade of technique.

2/ The ability of Coburn. Those last 20 minutes in particular he made a string of outstanding saves. The double save (admitedly from his own initial fumble) was quite simply awesome. But on a more general note I've been impressed with this guy from the very first match. You judge a keeper not by the spectacular, but by the number of mistakes he makes. In 12 months I've seen one.... was it The Pigs away ? That aint bad going, particularly in a struggling team. Have Alty had no approaches for his services ?.....I'd be surprised if they hadn't.

Anyhow, bring on the next home game...... I'll be back down The Bridge.

Coburn

He had a trial at Crystal Palarse about 5 years ago now. I think they liked the look of him but he had a problem with his knee and they weren't certain he'd be able to cope with full time footy. That's what I remember, Moss Lane legend, fook knows what we'll do when he retires.

City could do worse than get him for James!

Coburn

He had trials for Leicester City in 2000 and unbelieveably they sent him back. I also know that you meant 3 points - typo. Probably a while since the blues got 3 (only joking!)
