Yesterday was truly awful, but some of 'posts' are an over-reaction and some of the critiscm of certain players is unfair.
Yesterday almost every player played a game substandard to their own ability, but to judge certain players on yesterday's performance alone, is unfair. I am sure the players were not happy with what happened yesterday and GH was not smiling much at 4.45pm either.
It may happen again, just like winning at home will happen again, that's football. Let's move on and look forward to an improvement in performances.
To hear stories that some people have declared their intention not to return to Moss Lane is dissappointing, but is also about as fickle as you can get.
Next time they should go and watch England beat the Vatican City Ladies Team at Old Trafford and pay almost £35 each to sit in a seat too small for a grown man.
What is the point of a forum if you cannot debate Altrincham FC and its players, results etc? I will be there at the next game, paying my money, singing my heart out and hoping for a typically resolute Alty performance. I think its great that people have come on here voicing their opinions. Its what football fans do because of their passion for their club.
The fact that most of us believe we are a better side than last year had probably added to our expectation a little - making games like Sunday even more disappointing.
Hi. Been reading your forum since Sunday after our win at your place. All though it was nice nice to win 5-0 at your place it does'nt mean much at the moment. I know it hurts like hell to loose like that at home but its still early days. It would be more worring if it was come Feb/March and you are in the bottom 6 and you lost like that. Funny results happen at the start of the season as teams are still finding their feet. Loosing like that so early gives more and enough time for your management to see where things are not working. Remember we did the same to you last year and then you came down our place and gave us a nice hiding.
Wish all the best for the rest of the season and look forward to seeing you later in the season. Regards Paul
