Poor old John Hollins

How ironic to see Crawley manager John Hollins bleating about lack of money to spend this season.

He says he knew what he was 'taking-on' when he joined the club ??? Although I am not entirely sure of the facts (and too lazy to research it), I think he made some major signings (in Non-League terms) last season eg Clare & Scully. They cannot have come cheap.

He also moans about the large budgets some rival clubs have, yet Crawley breached the Conference Wage Cap last season didn't they and got done for it ?

Surely, these factors have contributed to the reason why they no longer have any money to spend, or has his memory failed him.


Incidently I have never got to grips with how you can still spend money, when you owe other people so much money.
