Okay, I need to talk to someone or I might explode...so I'll type it all up for you all to read. K?
So, today, Friday November 17, 2000 I was going to get to "skip" almost all day...well almost. Our drill team was scheduled to go to Seguin/San Antonio this weekend. First thing that happened was I got to school at my regular time around 6:37, and I dropped off my luggage as we were going to be gone all weekend. Then I go to sit in the classroom (btw we have two ROTC classrooms and a number of other rooms all in our own hallway...nedo huh?) and listen to CDs for a while, no biggie. Then my friend comes in and starts talking about the weather...not what you think...our weather has been horrid. In Seguin it was 30 degrees not including the wind chill, god I think it was even snowing just north of there. We had been issued out trench coats (everyone whisper menacingly now... yes trench coats long black trench coats...hehee) which were rather warm, lined with fur(snugly wuggly) and all. For the competition we were issued out winter blues (they're actually black, there's Navy logic for you...)and wind suits and all ready to go. So my friend and I went to go get on line on Commander Solis' computer to check to see what the current weather was...it was going to snow...God can you imagine..snow in south Texas. So, its getting close to the 1st period bell and I say good-bye and hedded off towards health...my most boring class. Well health goes by as slowly as ever...even though we were on pep-rally schedule. So, during passing period I run into my friend and he pulls me aside and tells me that the trip has been canceled. I was stunned for a moment, numb with disbelief, then I was furious. I stormed off (I forgot to say good-bye...oops.) and got to Biology, took the test, wanted to kill Olg..er..Bart and talked to Julie and Chris Donasco. We all shared the same feelings...as all of us would have been going. So we did what the teacher told us not to do. We sat on the floor eat and talked. About as rebellious as we could get with out getting sent to the principal's office, whoop-tee-do. So I carried on all day like this, going to all the classes I was supposed to have missed. Doing a speech in French that I hadn't memorized well, but still managed to get a 110 on. By the time I got to seventh period, the last period of the day, I was ready to go home, my day had been ruined. I didn't even include the rubber cement accident, I got the nasty stuff spilled all over me TWICE in one period. Just when I think its all over, I remember the Pep-Rally. God help who ever got in my way, for I don't even remember what I did. IO was so mad I even blew off my friend...and Jessica, Chris, Alice, Mary, JJ, Kry...er the list is too long.
So enough about my day... how was yours?
Love and a tincy tiny amount of hate from: Sara
