Response to BB, Did you want to buy a single NOS 427? |
| amen Gary.
I can't see what seems to be the problem. For $3500US you can have a new genesis, every ford guy knows that. Original unbored new old stock block in Ford or even better in H&M crate is just something you can't get from normal vendors. There just might be some guys who would kill to get blocks like those. I am into aftermarket parts but somebody who is restoring something to original specs is more than happy to find a virgin ford block. Did cobra or gt-40 used these blocks. Plus, if I would have enouhg cash I would rather show my five Ford and H&M virgin crates for my friends instead of five new genesis blocks.
Somebody knows history and respects that. Same seller actually sold 5 nos 427 blocks in factory Ford crates and got what he was asking. These babes are out of average guys league. I have no troubles accepting that.
It's completely other ballbark when speaking of old spanked&tired&sleeved and windowed 427 blocks. When looking back after 20 years those blocks for $25.000US were probably free.
Last thing to say is that the seller is an old dog from H&M when these engines very actually used big time in Ford Factory racing efforts. At least I have great respect for him. |
