Most have the C scratch and triple web from July 67' on. There was overlap and some A scratch with and with out triple web were around in this time frame as well. Here is a good clue the block will not have a good date for a 68 CJ like many other 68 Fullsize engines. The intake is dated 7... if it is original to the block the date will be between 7G and 7M. It is nice to find these standard 428 engines dated 8B-8F so they work nicely for 68.5 Mustang/Cougar and 68 KR500's.
