The car may be a 68 instead of a 67 as advertised. In addition to the fender badge as noted above, the grill horse and corrals look like 68, as does the quarter panel. After all these years, who knows how much the car has been thru, and it may not be a real GT.
At $500, it may be worth a look or a call for the body codes/data plate info. It may have some decent parts regardless of GT or not, and the seller may take less for the car. If it breaks in half but has some good parts, how much is scrap value in your area? You may be able to scrap it for what you paid for it, and have some parts to boot.
