Well, this was a grand idea for a great project. But, like some projects it must move on. My work situation has changed and I can not devote any time to this.

1968 all steel Torino Fastback. Was originally built into a racecar in the early 70's. The workmanship is quite good, and it won't take much to get it finished. Check out my supermotors page for some pictures.

Comes with a complete 390 based 429 CID stroker kit. All machine work is done and the engine is ready for assembly, or I can have the pros at the shop put it together for you. Many cool parts are there including an Edelbrock streetmaster intake and 2 sets of cool, vintage covers. The stroker kit came from Barry at Survival Motorsports. It has a custom Ultradyne solid flat tappet cam. The heads have been completely re-done and ported by Kutzur Racing heads. I have a complete inventory of the engine parts, but it is exactly what you need to build a 500 HP motor. Engine needs headers, carb, and distributor. I have a stock distributor that goes with it. And I think there is an Accel, too. The engine details:
FE Rotating Assembly
4.125 stroke NEW crank
Diamond 4.070 bore flat top pistons
6.700 H beam rods
Non-SFI damper
Standard (non-file-fit) rings, Standard bearings
Internally balanced at Scat, and rebalanced to perfection at my shop

The kit alone cost me $2300. Add in the intake, new blue thunder crank spacer, all new valves, springs, keepers, retainers, guides, etc., and the new cam, timing chain oil pump and everything....I have well over 3K just in the parts.

I purchased the car almost a year and a half ago as a project with a good friend. We just don't have time to make it happen. The car is basically rust free. Meaning it probably has a little spot here or there but overall it is in fantastic shape. The paint looks good, and we were not planning on painting it. There is a small hickey in the hood. I was going to paint it flat black and not match the paint.

This is an entry opportunity to build a vintage racecar at a very good price with most of the difficult fab work done already. Realistically, you supply a 4 speed trans (I have a bell housing), some brakes, rear end gears to suit yourself, and some wheels and tires and you have just about everything you need.

I can work with you on delivery in Texas and surrounding states.
