Ross, Not jumping ship.. It is for a Stocker 68 CJ Mustang I just purchased.
Brent, Im told they hold up very well so used is OK but new would also work. I need to put an clutch, Bell and trans together.
Thanks David

Hey David, I don't mean to bogart this post but,

August 5 2012, 6:58 AM

I will be putting my BI/BO proshifted/faceplated toploader together this week after a needed freshening. Will be putting up for sale. Has all new internals to include 2'3'4 gears and proshifting and faceplate lugs. New 3/4 faceplate slider/hub assembly. New shift rails, detents. 3/4 fork and new output shaft and complete small parts. Has Mr gasket v-gate shifter w/stops and 31 spline trans yoke for either 1310/1330 u-joint or steel w/1350 u- joint also the transmission mount to go with it. $1050.00 you pay shipping. If interested email me. Would be good trans for a stocker.

G-Force is a T-10 design where a Jerico

August 5 2012, 9:02 AM

is Toploader style. Either is a great trans but the Jerico seems to choice in a Ford application. Pretty hard to find a "good" used one of either. Might have to buck up for new and get the gear ratios you need. A Soft Loc clutch is also in your future so I can see you dropping $7500.00 but you won't regret it.

Cool car btw. Tell us more/ add pictures etc.

the big difference

August 5 2012, 10:18 AM

is maybe the dual bearing center support and mid-plate design by G-Force that keepd the mainshaft and counter shafts from seperating under load , Jerico doesn't have it ... not sure what HP level causes the shafts to seperate as there are plenty of people running Jerico with no problems

A second on the Jerico...

August 5 2012, 5:18 PM

I'm a Jerico guy so I might be jaded on another brand but I've heard both are good choices. I like I always say "you can have my Jerico when you pry it from my cold dead fingers"...or was that my AR?....anyway, great new score Dave and good luck with it!!!

Re: A second on the Jerico...

August 5 2012, 9:05 PM

I can`t imagine a 428 Stocker hurting a healthy Jerico, in 12 years of racing my 428 Fairmont, with a early 90s used Jerico I bought from a SS/AM 8 second 57 Corvette, I have hurt 3rd gear ONCE. It cost $300.00 to repair. The other used Jerico in my Mustang has been in for 6 years, and runs mid 10s, and all I`ve ever done ischange the gear oil a couple of times. Now, that said, a local racer has broken several Jericos, and switched to G Forces, however one car is a mid 8 second SS/AH 68 Hemi Cuda, and the other is a all steel 71 Cuda with a 520 inch BB MoPar, that runs 8.80`s. A FE Stocker will never see that kind of stress.

Found a Jerico.

August 13 2012, 8:55 PM

Thanks for all the help and opinions . The real users experiences have made my decision to go with a DR4-4 revission style. With Mcleod soft lock and Quicktime bell. Great Forum!
