Does anyone else out there wear Hunter wellies and find that they don't last for 12 months?
The last two pairs I have owned are worn for and hour or so a day whilst I muck out, put my 2 horses in and out of fields and the occasional horsey bath time - but these boots seem to crack on the top of the soles split. I was my boots off with the hose when I leave the yard as I don't like muck and mud in the house!!!
I did write to Hunter to complain, the first pair they replaced agreeing they were faulty, this last pair which did not last 9 months, I have been advised that "animal manure" contributes towards the wear of the boots.
I have advised Gates that if this is the case they should not sell the product in equine outlets as most of us would use them, funnily enough, to muck out which involves manure!!
Let me know if any of you out there have experienced a similar problem.

My first pair of Hunter wellies lasted me for almost 20 years! I didn't wear them every single day as I do now, but they still lasted much longer than my last pair, which were purchased last year and are already leaking!
There are many cheaper alternatives on the market now which look just as good, so I will be heading down that road for my next purchase!

Thanks for that, funnily enough my first pair I brought about 18 years ago and they lasted for about 15 or 16 years, obvioulsy quality has gone down hill!
