Well, I know I'm knocking on a bit, but I do at least TRY and stay in touch, but I don't think I've ever heard 50 Cent (is that his appearance fee, by the way? Whatever, it's a crap name...).
The point is, there will be around 200 acts on over the course of three days - it would be astonishing indeed if everybody liked all the artists playing, or even tolerated all of them. And how would you decide who to go and see?!
Crap bands are an excuse to check out anopther stage, get more beers in, hang out with your mates in the campsite, get a quick power nap, go shopping... or anything you fancy.
Personally, I reckon the White Stripes and the Darkness will be awesome headliners (and I don't often look forward to the headliners). But then, I like both those bands. I can't say I'm at all bothered about Green Day, but I imagine a fair few people will be (even if their heyday was about ten years ago...). I'll be back at the tent, warming myself by the fire and chugging a few more beers.
I still think the whole festival experience will be the same as ever - fantastic. |
