flip
Mean Fiddler should introduce some kind of voting system where you can choose which bands you would like to headline (maybe a choice of 3).
They should also try and put rock acts throughout the three days so that we are not stuck with aload of indie and old shit (which is usually on a saturday!).
Mean Fiddler please make it heavy this time..start of on the friday with say: * Sum 41 * Alien Ant Farm * (a bit of punk or ska..like madness!...get madness to play reading as well),etc
on the saturday: * lost prophets* foo fighters * Chilli peppers * ,etc
and on sunday give us the heavy shit: *slipknot * korn * pantera * deftones * etc

Your voting system is a fair enough idea but i don't mean to point out the obvious but ur suggestion is hardly gona suit everyone. Fair enough i would like more rock but people dont just go to reading for ska for example. Blur are indie but they'd be a fucking awesome band to see live. Mean Fiddler has to cater for everyone not just the select 16-18 year olds wwho want to run around in circles listening to ska
would never work, it would mean having to find 3 bands all avaiable and willing to play, if you can get 3 bands worthy of headlining one day why not give them an equal set length, then you can have 3 class bands...?
...have you ever watched one of those 'top 100' programmes on telly where the public votes for the winner? Does the best one EVER win, ever?
No, and it'd be the same for this, we'd all be watching bands that we'd seen a million times before. Part of the thrill of a festival is discovering great bands that you knew nothing about beforehand.
