....on who REALISTICALLY are likely to headline Reading/Leeds this year. Personally, I think Offspring (that's a given), Prodigy and Oasis. Whadda you reckon?

I want metal dammit!!! I think prodigy are good, but headliners, i duno. Offspring maybe, but i thought theyd fill the slot green day had last year. As for Oasis, it is possible, but i hope not! I reckon Mean Fiddler should pull their fingers out of their corporate bum holes and give the ppl what they want, Metal and lots of it!! I think they shud go after the big gunz (Korn, Metallica e.t.c)

The headliners have almost certainly been booked for a while now (most big bands knew what they'd be doing this summer about a year ago). What is interesting is that there have been fewer "leaks" than normal, and only a few names tipped as headliners. Prodigy look like a good bet, and I think Offspring will play, but are they big enough to headline these days? It's two or three years since they were having big hits after all.

The most important questions, however, are:

Will they have sorted out the opening of the arena entrance in the mornings?

Will they have put the price of beer up AGAIN?

And will they have heeded my advice that we need a "Swedish Invasion" tent?

i would say that there is still a thousand man pile up to enter the arena. Beer will go up even more and as for the Swedish tent are we talking porn? The HIves rule however!!

Prodigy are a good bet and Offspring will play, as you sadi reg theres a very small leak. i can see a few suprises being sprung on us come Monday!!!

Have they not confirmed for Glasto? And if so due to this are they likely to play Reading? Personally i hope not unless they are half way up the bill and i can avoid them.

i dont think they are even rumoured for Glasto and mant sources (kerrang) have said that Prodigy will headline so it looks quite certain. I will only watch them if there is no competion on the other stages!!
