Who do you think should play next year?

I think Glassjaw, Deftones, Movielife, Linkin Park, Filter, H2O, Millencolin, Taking Back Sunday, Thrice, The Used and Refused should reform.

.....really want Linkin Park, Deftones, Limp Bizkit, Lost Prophets, Adema, Inme and Mad at Gravity to play. YEH!! Foo Fighters to come back again cus I only had a Sunday ticket this year and I really wanna see them!

Headliners will probably be something along the lines of:
Coldplay- poo
Doves- yawn. maybe muse or summink.
Chilli Peppers - semi yey.

Something like that. I think this year had the best line up for a long time, so it prob wont be quite as good. CANT WAIT!!!!

Well, I wouldn't bet against Blur headlining one day. And yes, Coldplay and the Chilli Peppers are both a pretty good bet, too.

I'll try and run a poll in a month or two, and we can send the votes to Mean Fiddler. Just in case...

Blur and Chillis
Blur having a new album out next year and making a bit of a re-emergence since Damon's side projects and the Chillis.. well 'cos they said themselves they'll be around next year promoting the new album no doubt.

Blur and Chillis.. ummm Who was the first headliner in '99 ..I dont quite recall? ;)

Coldplay WILL play.. I think its pretty much definite as they always like at least someone British to headline and they have never played Reading before and will also refuse a lower slot.

Blur, I'm not so sure about, I think Meen Fuddlor going to stick to the NME favourites / NuMetal mix again next year and you can't really justify two "Indie" headliners in that Scenario, plus Blur will probably get contracted by one of the other festival organisers (Eavis or Branson) to play under the condition they do not play Reading.

RHCP.. yeah, so long as they haven't broken up by then and I see that as a definite possiblity..

Blur, Chili Peppers and Pearl Jam.
I reckon Coldplay will probably be at V or Glasto, Blur I reckon Mean Fiddler will get though.
as for the other two, Chili Peppers have gotta be a very strong bet and Pearl Jam a bit random, but they have a new album out soon and haven't headlined a festival here in a while.
Unless some flash in the pan Strokes style band emerges or someone reforms.

pearl jam said theyd never do a festival again after roskilde, i dont know if theyre still stickin to that but if they r then they wont b playin

yeah reckon you're right, after roskilde eddie and the band were so traumatized they said they'd never play festivals again... can't say i blame em... watching all those people get crushed right in front of you and not being able to help must be hard to forget :o( still they'll be doing their own tour next year anyhoo

Not so sure about coldplay playing glasto, havent they been there for the past 3 years? chances are they will be at reading next year

Well id like to see vex red again since i only caught the end song of their set, same for BRMC since i had to make the heart breaking choice of them or foos....i chose the foos since there appearances are more rare
