hi there i work for the entertainment department at Berkshire Council, you can believe me or not but ive heard a number of bands that i believe are going 2 play. They are:

Blur
The Charlatans
U2
Placebo
Idlewild
Metallica
Limp Bizkit
Linkin Park
AFI
Alkaline Trio

this happens every year. theres always someone who claims to be on berkshire council. don't know if its the same person but they are usually met with disbeleif. im personally going to wait until the lineup is officially announced to make any comments either way.

some of those bands are quite plausible though. i would be suprised if placebo didnt play festivals this year due to them having a new album out. werent u2 on michael eavis's wishlist for glasto? they seem like more of a glastonbury band but as he seems to have sorted out his headloiners this year it is possible that they were offered more money by mean fiddler to play reading.
who knows anyway!

Stereophonics have a new album out soon and haven't announced any sort of tour/festival dates yet.

god please no!!!! although stereophonics are very handy if you want to catch up on your sleep at the end of the festival!!!
