On the poster there is Special Guests to be announced between Placebo and The Datsuns. Who do you think it will be? I reckon it will be either Deftones, Idlewild or The Vines.
I posted this on the e-festivals board and the general belief was it would be either the Vines or the Deftones. Not that bothered about either of them.
Isn't the idea of Special Guests that you can get a band lower down than they should be? I dunno, maybe I'm wrong but I heard that album sales and popular demand determines where u are on the bill and the special guest slot allows someonewho doesn't fit the pattern to play.
The Vines or BRMC or Idlewild? oh my god... do we really need all these indie/rocknroll etc bands? Its ok to have a few but nearly the whole bill?!
Even tho i'm not a fan I want Deftones out of all those mentioned. 'My Own Summer' would be incredible!
Mr F is right about the placement of the bands [ the special guest slot being there for a band who would normally be placed higher to join the line up,thats why they are called the 'special guests'!] and i really really really hope its the deftones.
where we're going, the Special Guest (to Iron Maiden headlining) is only Alice Cooper!!
But I'm not telling you where we're going.
Anthrax should be good too, and Overkill...
