It would be quality if they were, but surely contractual matters with V festival would probably mean that they couldn't do any queens songs.
However, Mark Lanegan has had a solo project for years before he committed to queens full time, he may have members from that backing him. So i'm not so sure. What's your source?

QOTSA interview on radio 1 rock show last night. Saying that they're playing V festival as QOTSA, and backing Mark Lanegan at ....some....other....festival.
Sounds like a QOTSA secret gig coverup (metallica @ download style) to me!
