right, as unboubtably the most experienced in all things reading, in your experience, do they or do they not open the campsite on the wednesday usually, i was thinkin of moseyin on down for about 7 PM on the wednesday, will i be met with joy, or have a shadow of sorrow cast over me and my happy band?
...the campsite officialy opns at 10am on Thursday. Don't expect too much sympathy from security if you arrive on Wednesday - they MAY let you in, but it's unlikely. Play safe and go on Thursday.
because no-one really seems sure as to when the campsite will open. Officially it always opens on thursday but people always turn up on the Wednesday. We went on the wednesday last year and the place was absolutely packed (granted they made the mistake of saying wednesday early on) but still it was pretty much full by early thursday morning. I doubt they'll turn people away if they turn up on the wednesday because you've paid your ticket haven't you? I would imagine they expect this every year anyway. Hmmm.....
i just dont know what do, i coul;d have a leisurly trip down, get there in the evening, an then maybe not get let in, or i could get up at like 5 an go down in the morning (i have to get a train from manchester) think i'll favour gettin up late an maybe not gettin in
Currently I plan to arrive on Wed and have a good nites drinking with my mates, and if we dont get let into the campsite, we will just sit on some grassy bank chatting all night with cans of whatever.
It's what we do most nights anyway.
