Is Bonnie busy??

This has to be the weekest line up since the 1988 Bonnie Tyler/ Starship fiasco.

There's still a few good bands but there's no one I'm interested in that I havn't seen at a better venue within the last 12 months (well alright SOAD at a push).

If it rains there's not one band that's gonna drag me out of the pub except possibly the darkness.

Good job that for me it stopped being about the bands in 1983!

Actually...

...I think they should scrap the whole line-up and get back all the bands from 1988. Not that it would be any better, it's just that I slept through almost all that year's festival and would like to see Meatloaf getting bottled off (always regretted missing that!).

And Fields of the Nephilim would be on the bill, which has to be a good thing!

Seeing the Ramones again would be a good thing too. Didn't they headline one night?

They did.

I didn't see much that year, but I was awake for them! As ever, they were amazing. Must dig out the bootleg tape I've got of that show...

Are you the same Martin who sent the photos of the Reading site? Much appreciated - gave the news page a real lift. Cheers!

..i would exchange this years current line up to see the Ramones play and to witness meat loaf gettin bottled offstage. What a classic! Speaking of rain though, if push comes to shove im just gonna head off to the dance tent and jig about in there for a while. Should lift some downpoured spirits. I hope it doesnt fucking rain though, i really cant be bothered with it. Is it too early for forecasters to tell?

he's brilliant! well, his voice is, and his 'friend' mr steinman (sp?)admittedly, he doesnt write any songs... at all.. but hey, he's the fat man in all of us.. just like i missed daphne and celeste being bottled off because i was stuck in the arena entrance behind a guy who was trying to get in with a bamboo spear that he claimed he was gonna throw it at "the black one"... so we just heard it..
sucks the big one, eh?
