as my name suggests i agree with ya, Thrice + F4AF are fucking awesome bands the concrete jungle has an amazing line up AGAIN, last year it rocked with DC + Thursday + Bouncing Souls etc.. and this year it's like all the bands i wished played last year on CJ stage are playin this year.. altho the other stages seem to be lacking that stage has an amazing line up, especially Movielife, Poison The Well, Thrice, BoysetsFire + Ataris... i can't wait
...and know nothing about these Concrete Jungle bands. What I do know is the line-up in general sucks, so I need some recommendations of bands to see. So, who in the concrete jungle is any good. Please bear in mind that I like PROPER punk, by which I mean 1977-stylee, early-1990s stylee (Leatherface, Hooton 3 Car, Mega City Four, Buffalo Tom etc). What I DON'T like is ska-punk. Ska nd punk do not mix in my book.
Theres only 1 ska punk band on the cj stage and thats Mad Caddies.
Old school punk bands on are Lagwagon and Pennywise.
Rest are more modern punk, emo and screamo!
yeh TurboNegro are definately worth a watch but with the lack of bands on the other stages its still worth checking out some of the bands playing CJ they're all good apart from i personally don't like Mad Caddies (i'm not a fan of the ska + punk either) .. i will be there all day :) except for missing Pennywise to see AFI.. a lotta bands playin are amazing live and put on a good show (thrice, poison the well et al) so as i say its worth checking them out if you've not heard them before
Turbo negro are the only band on the bill worth catching for us oldies. Lagwagon only old school if you consider Green Day old school (Johnny come latelies in my book).
Saw Lagwagon in Buenos Aires & they were truly awful.
