A heckuva lot of work involved in transfering over the glass and mechanisms from the old doors to the new doors and then installing and aligning. But a good couple of nights. Glad to be passed the hard part on the doors.
take place once the car is on the ground. It won't change the window/vent to rubber angle much, but may change the doors a little. I'll loosen the hinge bolts off slightly then put it down.
I added subframe connectors and and extra torque box to the car, so the chassis is pretty stiff. but ya never know
in this pic. This was kind of a fun pic for me. The car sits so low I was wondering if it would make it out of the garage without scraping the exhaust on the raise asphalt section.
On the flat, the oil pan is about 4" from the ground.
Your Car Is Beautiful Even In It's Unfinished State

Most people who see it will never be able to appreciate the dedication it takes to build a car like that. Especially when its one or two people in a small shop and not some megabuck facility.
But I'm curious, are you building this for yourself or to sell? I only ask this because I personally could never part with something so beautiful that took so much time, love and care to build.
My hat's off to you for your dedication and obvious skill. It will be a teat to see when completed. Best of luck. ww
I'm glad to hear you say that. I built my 65 Galaxie back in 1999 with the help of my two sons who were 23 & 25 at the time. Every year the three of us take it to Daytona for the Thanksgiving Turkey Run weekend. It has helped keep us close and is considered part of the family.
I know you'll enjoy it with your family and good luck on your fund raising efforts. ww
