Lower arm

October 30 2009, 11:16 AM

I am removing the shock towers from my 66 Comet. I am using tubular lower control arms from Lou Fegers racing. The lower arm with ball joint was 70.00 bucks. It has a shock mount on top and a stud out of the bottom for my strut rod. If you want to e-mail me I can send you a photo. I believe he can order whatever length arm you are looking for.Jim

It's not only cheaper but you will learn more as you go along and when it's done you'll have the pride of having done it all yourself.

I hear Alexander Keith's is a good medicine for pnuemonia. happy.gif

upper and lower control arms

November 6 2009, 3:08 PM

this is the brand I used
Find a circle track dealer close to you
I bought
2 uppers
2 lowers
4 screw in ball joints
2 3/4 heims
2 upper C/O weld on shock mounts
and 2 mounting plates for the upper control arm
ever thing was 260 bucks
now is there slow time so they might deal
Look under circle track suspension

links to upper and lowers

November 7 2009, 7:47 PM

http://www.afabcorp.com/AFCO_Dynatech_USbrake/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=A&Product_Code=20018RM-1&Category_Code=ct_stud-lowers

these are the ones I used for the lowers
takes a 3/4 heim
all I did was drill out the lower mount for a 3/4 bolt
weld 2 washers on where the stock adjustment slot was as the heim gives all the adjustment you will need

http://www.afabcorp.com/AFCO_Dynatech_USbrake/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=A&Product_Code=19001S&Category_Code=ct_threaded-uppers

these are the upper arms I used

http://www.afabcorp.com/AFCO_Dynatech_USbrake/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=A&Product_Code=20080&Category_Code=ct_chassis-comp

and these are the upper mounts I used

I am going to the shop tomorrow I will take some pictures
but I have a problem posting them
