Hi Everyone,
I stumbled across a website about the movie Over the Edge. I am from Greeley, CO and I attended John Evans Jr. High from 93-95 (New Granada Jr. High). The stuff you see in the movie of the school exterior is in the back of the building. My brother first showed me the movie in 1996. He didn't tell me anything about it before he played it for me so you can imagine my surprise when I saw the school scenes. My brother also attended JEJH two years before me. The school was less than a mile from my house. We used to ride our bikes up there in the summer. One thing that I did notice different in the film was the big white shed in the middle of the parking lot. It was torn down around 1989, so I don't remember it. My brother said that he does remember it there before he attended the school. They also filled in the "pit" in the middle on the lunch room (where they locked the parents in) the second year I was there. It was weird to see the kids trashing the office and library because I always thought it would be fun to do myself. I didn't know this movie had such a big following. Well I just thought I would share that with you.
