You can get started right away volunteering your time and talents for the babies. To start, just knit/crochet an article for a needy baby. (If you need patterns, there's some on the main site.) If there's a chapter in your area, you can send it to them, and if there's not, you can send it to the Home Office, which serves everywhere there isn't a chapter. If there is a chapter near you, contact the leader about work meetings and the like.
