Re: Burial Layettes packaging

by

When I do a complete layette , I include the gown, bonnet, small blanket, memory envelope, plus a embroidered and stuffed heart(I have an embroidery machine) that says"Beloved" on it.
I arrange them nicely in a very large zipper bag, and include a tag inside and in the back, with the size, so the nurses can see at a glance what size it is. If there is something special, like it has a Jewish design or any ethnic design on it, I put an alert on the front. That way the nurse can remove the tags before using. I do not pack them in the memory envelope,. My envelope will fit a large manilla envelope ot paperwork. All are made from the same fabric and trims as the gown and bonnet .
All my gowns are promised at the moment , but I am sure there are photos online.
Follow your heart as to what to include . I am sure there are many ways to package them.
