enlarging patterns

I searched the Message Board and found these. Hope one of the helps.

Here's one response:

Hi Debbie, I'm the one you talked to about this. I remember someone else asking as well but don't remember who. This is how this works with doll patterns: To enlarge a pattern, divide the size of the larger doll by the size of the smaller doll. Add zeros if necessary or round off to make three digits; this is the photocopier % setting. To reduce a pattern, divide the size of the smaller doll by the size of the larger. Drop a decimal point and add a zero, if necessary, to make two digits. Deduct this amount from 100. The total is the % amount to reduce the pattern. Hope this helps!!. I have another method but can't seem to find it , but I will dig deeper. LOL Sharon, Livingston Co

Burial Gown Size

How much should I enlarge the NIN preemie angel wing gown to fit an average newborn? Thanks in advance for your help.

Enlarge it 25%, or at least that is what I have done, with great success.
