MRSA

by

Hi Ev. I'm sorry to hear you were in the hospital again. I went to webmd.com and put MRSA in the search box (http://www.webmd.com/search/search_results/default.aspx?query=MRSA&x=60&y=16). It's very interesting! My husband and I moved from Indiana to Michigan last September and he's been fighting skin problems since mid-December. The family doctor kept treating him but the rash kept gettin worse and my husband asked to be referred to a specialist. The dermatologist immediately diagnosed staph infection and by that time he was sick enough to be hospitalized as both his legs and feet were so swollen he could not get shoes on. The horrible red rash on his stomach and top of his legs were the worst but it was also spread to most of his body. After weekly visits and going through several rounds of antibiotics, prednisone, and prescription creams he was released last Tuesday...only to break out again on Thursday. I had been telling him he must be allergic to Michigan because I missed Indiana so much! Anyway, I'm very glad to hear you are back home, on the mend, and informing all of us about this greatly increasing staph infection!!!
