Re: NW

Hi Christine - thanks so much for checking on us. Her Highness (the cat) and I are fine here, the flooding seemed to be in areas North, South, and East of me. My morning commute for two days was nasty but that is nothing compared to what most people were facing. I am grateful to still have a solid roof over my head and all of my possessions intact.

We do have a small summer cabin that appears to be right in the middle of some of the worst flooding. We have not been able to verify if there is any damage as the entire community remains cut off by significant road and bridge damage. We will try to get up there on Friday so keep your fingers crossed, it has been in the family over 40 years. If you see Index Washington on the news...look for a red cabin LOL.

I know Cheryl, one of our NIN quilters and sewists lives here in North Bend and bad flooding has happened there too. Hope she will jump in and let us know how she and the family are doing.

Please just say an extra prayer for all of the people who have lost so much. I cannot imagine watching your whole life be swept away. Many parts of the country have experienced horrible weather and it seems as though the winter has just begun.

Hugs,
Mary
