crochet edging

by Joann-St. Louis Arch chapter

I have been without a computer for a while ....instructions given by Jennifer from the convention were roughly:
Using a 1/16 inch Hand punch to make holes around the entire edge of the fleece piece about 1/2 to 3/8 inch apart. Place the fleece as far into the hole punch as able. (Best to get a Fiskars Hand Punch with the purple grip handle as easier and cushioned grip. The hand punch can be found in the paper crafting / scrapbooking sections of craft stores.)
Suggested to use a F/G/H size crochet hook. Make a slip knot, but do not put the slip knot on the hook yet. Insert the crochet hook through a hole and pull the slip knot through. Start to single crochet around the edge. The fleece edge will roll over as working around. Can add a second or third row, doing a scallop or shell edge. Hide knots and yarn ends under teh stitching and rolled fleece edge.
Can mail the direction sheets from convention if needed.
