Decorator fabric samples are GREAT!

by

Hi Lynn,

I love the decorating panel samples. That fabric is wonderful to make tote bags for diaper bags for our mothers and yes, the fabric can be incorporated into baby quilts.

Hello, friends!

I make baby quilts for NIN, and a wonderful woman in Columbia, Missouri, donated two boxes and two big bags of fabric scraps for me to use in future quilts. I'm so excited to receive all of this great material!

Some of the scraps are samples of home decorating fabrics. I read on the margins of several pieces that they are 100% cotton. Some looks like "polished" cotton, and other pieces do not. Most are light and neutral colors - beige, tan, white, etc. Some have plaid prints, floral designs, or stars on them.

Would it be OK to incorporate these scraps in baby quilts? Of course I would not use anything that feels itchy or scratchy to the touch. I think that the laundering should be compatible with other cotton materials. I already ran a bunch of them through the washer and dryer, and they came out fine.

What do you think? I just wanted to check in before I start using these.

Thanks, and have a great day!
