Thanks so much for the prayers .... Dad had emergency surgery for a perforated ulcer in the duodenun (sp?) and when they tried to take himm off the ventilater after surgery he was unable to maintain proper oxygenation yesterday.
Today he was taken off the ventilator and is doing fairly well. The surgery site is of course painful.
Yesterday the dr also drained fluid off his chest cavity and a high percentage of infection was found.
Dad also has stage IV Lung Cancer so everything combined is taking a real toll on him. The dr is optimistic tho but we're taking one hour at a time.
