Alright, since there seems to be other interest in a "photo encyclopedia" for seiko, particulary divers, lets get the 7002 series started.
First up is a 1990
7002-7009 I do not know full production run on this, but this model seems to have replaced the 6309 series of basic 150m divers until the 007/173's came along. It is most similar to the 6309-729x, rather than the 7040/7039.
Here is a 7002-7039 from 1994. It is marked "diver's 200". I believe this is the first model in the change from 150m to 200m in the basic diver series. I have seen them with rubber and black bezels. this is my first blue/red bezel diver. I am partial to the black. but... a reasonable buy it now price on ebay, a seiko stamped ss band (not double clasp though, not sure if a diver really came with it), and a darn near pristine bezel, case, and crystal (must have been a desk driver), with very clean dial made this one I did not want to pass up.
For those that thought the skx171 was a departure in the basic diver style, here is a 7002-7020 from 1995. I have never seen a 6309 with this style integral bezel without insert and can only surmise it is the direct ancestor of the 171.
