No, its not a solar automatic winder, scratch impervious bezel insert, machine that dispenses Seiko sapphire crystals for any watch ever made for only a quarter, nor is it even a magical elixir that will remove any scratch no matter how bad from stainless steel or titanium.  No-no, this is something much more profound.

To some, this may be old news, but I was pleasantly surprised when I stumbled on to this little wonder.  I am not sure who came up with this little device, but it can sure help out those of us who wear large diver type watches with dress shirts.  You know the kind of shirts that are so small around the wrist that we are forced to wear a WIMPY DRESS WATCH.  Ah hem….. sorry.  Nothing wrong with a nice GS or Credor….

I submit to you the simple collar extender!  Like the kind you buy at almost any place that sells dress shirts.  They cost a couple of bucks.  You know, the ones that don’t work worth a darn to actually want extend your collar so you can breathe with while wearing that ugly tie your wife picked out.  In all seriousness they don’t work the great (for me any way) as for their intended purpose.  The do however provide just enough expansion for your cuff to get any watch under there.  The are barely noticeable.  I am sure using a collar extension in this fashion is a GQ faux paux , but I am willing to sacrifice that to sport my favorite diver with a shirt and tie.

Enough talk – here are some pics

What am I hiding.....

Thanks Tom
