It works on the same principal as the Sonic Care charger, so I would have to think the worries of magantism and all that are not an issue.

I will say that the Seiko charger has different settings for different kinetics - who knows the exact right fit using the Sonic Care charger. After you are done with a full charge the watch is warm to almost hot and the liturature goes into detail that this is normal, so I would have to think even if your watch gets a little warm, it is probably o.k.
