take that design approach on their "flagship" diver? The bezel, as you know, is beautiful to look at and adds to the overall outstanding quality of fit and finish. The watch exudes quality of construction. I would have thought that Seiko would protect the insert as it is important functionally and adds significantly to the quality look and feel of the watch. The Landmaster bezel assembly seems super tough by comparison.
