Mine has seen similar abuse. I have had no issues with the caseback at all. The seals are not the best in the world. Mine will fog up like that if I sweat too much or wear it in the rain. Other than that I cant seem to kill the watch at all. The only real issue I have with mine is that it has been pounded so hard in it's lifetime that the hands don't line up and the day and date start to change @ 17:00.
