Response to I just received a belated b'day gift of $50...

AW80 AW-80-1AV

I picked this one up for $25.02 (includes shipping), so you could buy one for each arm with your $50. It is very light, has lots of features (the least valued in my book is the 30 "telememo", but the world time is neat, as are the DST, alarm (actually 3 including an hourly double ring should you enable that), perpetual calendar (to 2099), stopwatch, countdown timer and ten year battery. The lume is weak, but the backlight on the dial nice amber color. A neat quirk, the minute hand moves in 20-second increments.

The negatives are that it has no second hand and that the multi-functions are all LCD and are thus down in the lower quarter of the watch, which means that the display is obstructed when the hands are between 4 and 8 o'clock. The band is comfortable, but I am not too fond of the plastic buckle. Only time will tell if the buckle is up to the long haul.

I have had it for a week and even though the accuracy is represented at plus/minus 30 seconds a month, my watch is plus/minus 0 after a week (although I've not yet given it any wrist time...too many other watches to wear).

Doug
PS It is 40mm wide and 46.5mm lug to lug
