I have had one now for almost 4 years. 1 battery is all I have had to do. Keeps time to within 5 seconds in 6 months. That's when I have to change for daylight saving. Don't bother setting date. Only hang-up I have found is that the Chrono buttons are sometimes reluctant to trigger the mechanism.
Been in water many times no problem. I feel they are great value.
