I've been wearing one of Duncan's Original Dive Straps . . . PICS

I wore this 20mm stitched strap for a bit on my 6105-8000 before I sold the watch. Since I didn't have another dive watch that needed a strap, I decided to wear it on my Omega Speedmaster Professional.

Many of you have seen the Speedy Pro on a nylon strap, particularly that extra long NASA issued one with the Velcro that Astronauts wear over their space suits. Duncan's strap reminded me of the look of that combination and I thought it would look nice on the Speedy, so I strapped it on. First let me say that the Speedmaster is not a dive watch so I didn't get it wet. The strap certainly would be best suited for a dive watch, primarily because of its length. However, where I live on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, the temperatures frequently reach the high 90's (Fahrenheit) and it is very humid, so dive straps go with just about any watch in this climate.

This strap has certainly been up to the task. By my measurements, the "Classic" strap is 133/80 (long/short end, excluding the buckle), so it is suitable to fit over clothing or a wetsuit. It is approximately 5mm thick where it attaches to the watch at the lugs and narrows to 3mm at the buckle. The strap has 10mm wide keepers (one loose, one fixed). The loose keeper is stitched underneath. You will have to ask Duncan about the construction and materials used to make the strap because I'm not sure. It has a nylon look, but a rubbery feel. It is a very pliable strap. Not stiff at all until you get the 5mm thick part of the strap where it attaches to the watch. It is not a lint magnet, which is great. It has a nice dark black color.

The strap I received had removable steel barrels where the bars go, which I removed, as I think they are made for watches with lug screws rather than springbars. I was a little concerned about removing the strap if I left them in place. The buckle is heavy duty steel with a 3mm wide post that inserts into the slotted holes on the strap. My only gripe about the strap, and it is a small one, is that the strap does not pass through the keepers easily. That would probably not be an issue if you wore this strap daily as the keepers would probably loosen up. I think the friction of the strap with the new keepers is the issue there.

This is a super sturdy strap and I recommend that you give it a try. Here is a link to the website and some pictures that I took of my watch on the strap.
