Hello,

This particular watch has been sitting in one of my regular watch shop for years. I first spotted it
over 2 years ago. It looks like a Speedmaster but it is a quartz watch, so no interest.

Recently while looking around at vintage military watch in the internet, I came across Seiko RAF
chronograph and it struck me as familiar. These are collectible now. I thought I had seen one
before. But it took me another month before I decided to go back to this shop to have a look
at it again. No regret. I found this beauty.

Wow, same movt, same case, similiar dial & colour except no mil markings. It came with the
original steel bracelet which I remove and fitted a grey nato and wore. After some seach on
7A28 movement, came to appreciate them better.

Originally it was in polished stainless steel but I go my watchmaker to brush it in satin finish to
give it the RAF look.

cheers,

The 7A28/38 is a great watch. I had one and really liked it but was no longer to read the subdials so I got rid of it. Either as a Speedmaster or an RAF, it's a classic.

There are dogs and then there are Samoyeds! All pets go to heaven.
