This little Seiko is special because it is uncommon and also because Randall sold it to me. Even though he claims to have not even checked to see if it was working; I figured that just being in his shop has bestowed special powers of reliability and longevity on it.
It has worked flawlessly since he sent it to me; it keeps reasonable time for a 7s26 and it starts right up as soon as it is moved
The lumi dial is cool to as it glows like a beacon in the night and all night!

Love your Dad's Rolex and now I can relate with my Dad's Omega. Before my father gave me his Omega, my King Seiko (anniversary gift last year from my wife of 27 years) was in fact "the King." These two watches were made months apart in the early '70s, both high beat, one Japanese one Swiss.
I wore the King Seiko yesterday, but today, I'm back with the Omega.

Maybe for Father's Day the Moderators would allow a little wiggle room for non-Japan content in the rules for members to post photos (if they have any) and stories of their father's watch.
"My Father's Watch" would make for a very interesting topic and an opportunity for everyone to get to know each other better. This could be about watches our fathers are currently wearing, have worn, or watches that have been given to us by our fathers.

BTW for those who read my review where I groused about the band on this watch, it has grown more comfortable with time. Maybe it's wearing in or I'm getting used to it? Anyway, it is still not up to Seiko quality and comfort but is growing on me over time. David

My vehicle is broken again, and then the hard disk on my main computer failed! >>>

But I should have a second vehicle available Monday to go to work, and I do have a recent back up of the hard disk, so it's not all bad. More like annoying!
Anyhow, wearing the new Silver Sandoz while I seek pity!
