I have a similar looking Citizen 200m diver which posters tell me is a mid 90s model and midsized auto....your Promaster is quartz....but the overall dial/bezel style seems to be from the 90s...

I especially like the bezel edge and the lefty crown.

So, should you ever want to sell or trade it... happy.gif

Unfortunately I cannot confirm anything about the originality of the caseback. If it is original, I would say the watch is from 1995. Could you please post a picture of the caseback?

It looks like a 1990s model. I believe that Citizen only used automatic and Eco-Drive movements for its top-of-the-range divers since then.

The quartz movement may well be of the same quality as the movements used in the 1980s/1990s professional series.

One more thing, I think the non-plated version came with white-on-black day and date wheels. Anyway, your plated version looks superb!

I managed to find out about the line "Base Metal IB"

My jeweler told me that this is an SS case, plated, and the IB stands for the plating material/process.
I'll keep you in mind, if I'll think of letting it go, but don't count on it happy.gif

BTW, I opened the back, and there is another plate, like in the professional Seikos -
an anti-magnetic soft iron plate. The movement is signed "Citizen" an "Two (2) jewels".
Sorry, no pics.

Typical Citizen quality, which IMHO, far surpasses Seiko's own QS.
