Looks great! But I'm afraid that with the Trumpeter one coming soon, the undoubtedly more expensive (even if certainly more accurate) resin kit will not be a particularly good seller...

that looks great, I'd rather pay more than having a kit that isn't accurate and needs a lot of aftermarket stuff.
Keep up te great work.
Do you have a website?

Dennis

It's spot on

Chris and Charlie had the real deal to work with and if I rember correctly plans from the folks who build it. So yes the Trumpeter will be cheaper, I'm sure it will not be as accurate or as finely detailed thought.

Not quite, but...

June 25 2009, 1:06 AM

It IS quite an impressive model nonetheless. This may be due to differences in a prototype used here in the US and what is being fielded in Iraq.
In looking at all of my photos from Iraq I notice quite a few discrepancies, some minor, some major.
The proportion of the turret as a whole seems to be off. Compare the rear of the turret with the photo below. Another example is the notch in the top of the front right side turret armor. It is way too far forward comparted to the photo below. Another minor detail is how bolt for the right side driver's armor plate is too low in relation to the window-it is almost centered when it should be nearly online with the top edge. Much of the no-slip doesn't appear quite right either. Granted, some of these things are minor, but the turret proportions definitely need to be remedied.
Again, these discrepancies my indeed be due to a prototype being used, and I don't want to bash what appears to be a very fine model before it even comes out.
