Here is a new line of bases we are producing ,these are all made by my wife, which will be carried on our website. There are various sizes and styles. Currently we have Red Oak and Poplar wood, with your choice of stain color. We will be experimenting with different sizes, if there is any size you need , dont hesitate to ask. I think your leaving a little too much stain in the recesses. It's a little thing but the bases would look much nicer if it wasn't there.

Brush on some pure linseed oil to the end grains, and let it soak in, and wipe off the excess with an old tee shirt. You stains will not penetrate so deeply, and will remain more consistent with the stains running with the grain.
