Problem with water :-(

Hi,

I would like to know what to use for water and how to make waves. I have these plastic pellets you can buy at the hobby store. I must melt these and pour it. The problem is: when I melt it and pour, its so hot that everything melts. When I put a model in the water the hot pellets melt it? What can I do? What am I doing wrong, should I wait for it to cool down and how long??

Thanks in advance

Jasson
