Response to Any questions for a WWII Marine?

Hey Steve, IWO was assaulted by the 4th and 5th Marine Divisions and reinforced by the 3rd Marine Division. Saipan was hit by the 2nd and 4th Marine Divisions. Tarawa was attacked by the 2nd Marine Division. Okinawa was invaded by the 1st and 6th Marine Divisions with some help from 2nd Marine Division units. Just what unit was this Marine assigned too. He seems to have been 'The traveling Flamethrower man'. Just curious. I am a Marine for over thirty six years (Once a Marine, Always a Marine) and I never shifted units as quickly as he seems to have done. Best Regards, 'Gunny' George
