Edging

Response to Diorama finishing touches.

With the latest diorama I am buiding I decided to try a new technique for edging. I like the picture frame look, but wanted to make the base the size I wanted. At the hardware store (the local co-op), I purchased edging that is used for baseboards in any house. There are different designs to choose from. I use 3/4 inch particle board for my base and the edging comes in that size. Simply cut the edging to the proper length with 45 degree angles, glue and nail it with small finishing nails, fill in the nail holes and stain, varnish, and the results are very good.
