Hi, I want a long-term goal here to try my 1st 1/48 diorama. I'm still in the painting phases, but want some planning before I get to the weathering stages. I was thinking either muddy-grassy field or muddy-graasy field plus street section. I've never tried a base before but picked up tacky glue, static grass, bushes, and yard debris. Any comments helpful, Thanks GREG

Celluclay works for...

...a variety of groundwork applications. I like to pre-color it with acrylic paints, while I'm mixing in water and white glue. After I have a good sloppy mixture of this, I smear it onto my base and add textures, dirt, rocks and track marks/foot prints. Once it's dried, I can continue coloring with highlights and shadows. For grass, I like static grass applied with white glue and painted with my airbrush. Have fun with your project and I hope I've helped. Best regards, Dave
