I would like to build a diorama of the German rail gun "ANZIO ANNIE" and was wondering when used to shell the landings how many spent cases would be appropriate? Seems like I heard it was rolled out of a tunnel, fired and then was moved back in so as not to be detected.......guessing if they went to all that trouble they would not leave much of a mess behind?

Not that many

The shells were used with powder bags like a lot other German stuff. The "shells" hepled seal the breach. As far as I know they were reused. I doubt you would find them lying around like those of an 88 or 105.

Dak

Everyone meets his Waterloo, the trick is to be Wellington, not Napoleon.
